I tried to be funny when @elasticpoodle came to visit and the game decided to punish me for my sins.

I’ve drawn a few creepy twisty Odos before, but I really wanted to explore what it might’ve been like in the show aand I wanted to draw more Odo being twisty. So this little comic sprung out of that!
This was a fun exercise and I learned a lot while putting it together. Like how much I love drawing Quark.
Seamus Finnigan meets the Derry Girls.
Derry Girls and the Harry Potter books both take place in the 90s so this is very plausible.
These characters are so unique and I appreciate and love them so much, so here goes my little tribute for Aloy and Ellie.
Thank you @guerrillagames and @naughty-dog
I don’t know who this bloke is, but I definitely think we should all start saying “thriving wage” until it becomes a thing
This makes me think of that line Hopper from A Bug’s Life and just the relationship shown between the grasshoppers and the ant colony:

In case you can’t see the quote very well, “Those puny ants outnumber us a hundred to one. And if they ever figure that out, there goes our way of life. It’s not about food, it’s about keeping those ants in line.”
Are you telling me that when i watched bug’s life i was actually watching a proletariat revolution?
It’s not even subtle, A Bug’s Life is blatant pro-worker messaging and I’m here for it
Furthermore, A Bugs Life is lifted from Akira Kurosawa’s “Seven Samurai” in which seven of the most elite warriors in Japanese society give their lives to protect the lowest of the low (farmers). The message of Seven Samurai is summed up in the final words “it is not us who have won, it is the farmers. We gave ourselves so they may know peace.”
Akira Kurosawa was a master at showing people in power being humbled by the peasant class. (Ikiru, Rashomon, Yojimbo, Stray Dog and especially Hidden Fortress all carry a similar message of the poorest and lowest of society humbling the elite. It’s also part of why he was blacklisted in Japan in the 70s and only returned to fame from George Lucas and Steven Spielberg funding his later movies.
I wasn’t into this at all at first, but now that we know Kira has a swamp, I’m inclined to believe this is a good guess 👀
